The Mediating Effect of Stress Coping Strategies in the Relation between Avoidant Attachment and Life Satisfaction

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to verify the gender difference in the model of mediating effect of stress coping strategies in the relation between avoidant attachment and life satisfaction and to examine the mediating ones of problem-solving strategy and avoidant strategy. Structural equation modeling was implemented to analyze the data, based on a total of 631 undergraduate students participated in this study. The results of study are as follows. There are no gender difference between males and females in the model. Problem-solving strategy and avoidant strategy respectively, showed a partial mediating effect on the relation, indicating that life satisfaction is getting higher as long as the two strategies are employed. The discussion and implication are provided based on the results.
